La Union- Baguio Trip

There's always a first time for everything, and this trip is one of those. lol! Surfing and visiting La Union and Baguio in my 31 years of existence. Could you believe that? I really had a great time! Credits to my wonderful tourist guides/photographers/travel buddies/beshies. :)

Sharing to all of you the snaps  I had in those beautiful places. ☺️

San Juan La Union Beach

Oh yes, after many attempts and bruises all over my legs I was able to stand and balance in the surf board for few minutes. Well for a first timer, not bad! Thanks to my very patient instructor, Kiko who has a lot of "hugot punch lines" in his teaching. I guess, that motivated me. HarharπŸ˜‚

At Flotsam Jetsam Hostel and Bar.

2nd stop the "chilly" city of pines Baguio
16-17 C that time was very cold to me. Those people who are close to me know that I have a weak tolerance to cold.

To give you a warm feeling, surely this bar will help you. Baguio Craft Brewery.

Morning after and the last day for me in the city. I need to maximize the time I have to visit all the famous places.
I felt like I was in a different country because of the weather, and everywhere is just picturesquely. The time I spent there was very short but I did enjoy every moment. Plus the food was just calorie worthy. Yum!

The Coffee Library's fried suman with ice cream.

And Amare's brick oven pizza.

I still have a lot of photos to upload, but it will flood in this entry. πŸ˜…

Overall, the experience was great and I fell in love with the places. I will surely come back for more. It really felt home.

Till the next adventure my loves.😘

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MUM!

Months before her big day,  I was really thinking of something special how to celebrate her 60th. Initially I was wondering if we could travel again since she would always tell me "Ayoko na mag party, stressful mapapagod lang kayo". I know I could bring Mommy and Daddy to whichever place they want to go but I don't want to be a selfish daughter not to celebrate her day with the whole family. After the conversation with the siblings in our secret group chat in fb, we finally decided to just give her a surprise dinner party. Ta-da! The birthday surprise was a success!

Sharing a few snaps of that precious moment:

I hope you enjoyed your birthday Mommy! Words are not enough to express how much I love you.  I want you to know that I am always here for you, for the whole family. I wouldn't mind being the spoiler daughter-clingy bunso as I am right now, and I want you to know I will not regret anything I have done just to return all the favors you did for me and for this family. Thank you for being the stronghold of our home, for always teaching us the value of family, for the faith that you have and always teaching us to just pray for everything, just like your name 'MARIA' your unconditional love like MAMA MARY is immeasurable and unquestionable. I always pray for your good health, inner peace and joy. I know God is always guiding you back home. I love you forever!

PS Welcome to senior citizens club! haha may discount ka na din. yay!

Untitled.

A strong woman doesn't need a man to make her happy but a wise woman will accept a man's love to grow.

To the guy wga, the one who tried but didn't have the courage to pursue, to the guy who will be willing to take the risk, this one's for you.

A lot of people who are wondering/asking  "Bakit wala ka pa bf?!" Honestly, I don't know anymore how to answer that in the simplest way I could explain it. And to tell you frankly, it pissed me off that you keep on repeating the same comments as if being single is a disease. Okay let me get straight to my point, maybe because after 5 long years I already gained the state of my so called "comfort zone"---no complications, no heartaches, as they say "steady lang." And amidst of being alone, I found the true essence of being independent, I found myself being a strong woman I didn't know will be possible. And sometimes, I feel like I'm scared now to enter a relationship, to take the risk of being hurt again. Scary! Yes you can hear me now admitting "I'm scared of falling in love again" Gaga kasi ako magmahal.πŸ™ŠπŸ˜…

To the guy wga, I think I scared you and I am sorry for that. Sorry for the "strong image" I showed you, for getting too excited about the dating status (would you blame me for that?!) READ THIS! Rule no. 1 WAG PAASA AT WAG PA FALL. It's okay, that means we're just not meant to be and you can't handle a strong personality. Too weak! hahaha! But thank you for the life's lessons.

Last month, I had a good conversation with a guy; we talked about love, relationships, break up. In the long conversation we had, what struck me the most was the time he told me that "after my investment of feelings, now I'm back in the game." That's the hardest part I guess; starting all over again and the scar  left in you gives the inability to trust again.

I always say, "I'd rather be single than to be with someone who will make my life miserable. I know cliche as it may seems, "Singlehood is the best time you could ever have!" You get to travel, freedom you want, loving God deeply, loving yourself the most, more time with family and friends. Savour it my dear single friends. It's only once in a lifetime! πŸ˜ƒπŸ€—
Believe me or not, it's up to you. I am not looking for someone. But I do hope one day, I could find that someone who has the strong guts to conquer my world, remove my anxities and fears, and would make me feel like I'm the most beautiful girl in his world. Am I asking for too much?! I guess not. Good luck to you whoever you are.

Sabi nga ni Pia, "People who have been single for too long are the hardest to love. They have become so used to being single, independent and self sufficient that it takes something extraordinary to convince them that they need you in their life."

A love letter...

Yes, I wrote a love letter to myself today. Surprise! I used to always write in my diary because that helps me a lot. And I guess time to bring back the old habit, but this time to be careful from my sister, Mom and cousin who once sneaked out in the closet just to read my daily thoughts hahahaha!

Summer in December :)

Santorini inspired :)

First, I am writing this blog to point out a few reasons:
I want the whole social world to know that I was overly joyed, the feeling is overwhelming and I can’t contain it.
To share to you the experience we had at the place, and to give you some pointers if you are planning to go to this place. And to those people who gave comments, messaged me and will just about to ask regarding the place, this will be my definite answer for all of you. :)

I planned this trip few weeks ago before I go back again to my homeland. I always wanted to travel with the whole family and this is the perfect timing as the whole family are reunited again. The first out of town family trip. (Kuya, who is based in UAE is coming home together with his plus one Tatats— for their upcoming wedding) The aftermath stress of the wedding, the place would definitely give them a breath of fresh air and relaxation. The late night instagramming moments paid off because roomie and I get to searched one of the hidden-not yet so famous- beautiful place up north. Which I unusually plan to go to cause I normally go on a trip down southern part of the island.

Sundowners vacation villas, (yes that’s the name of the resort) is located at Luciente 1 Bolinao Pangasinan. If you’re coming from Manila, you can take the NLEX-TPLEX way, I don’t know the exact locations of the place we passed by, but hey you can be a little bit friendly and ask directions from the people you can meet along the road. But we came from Bataan and we took the SCTEX-TPLEX way as we are also heading somewhere before going to the resort. The google map is also very useful! :) This is also the map that we used to locate the area, I hope it will help you in future reference.

December 14, 2015

The whole family left Bataan at 0900 hrs, the traditional yearly visit at Manaoag Church was already included on the itinerary. We reached Manaoag at 1200 hrs, after the prayer intentions, candle lighting and a little bit of picture taking; 1330 hrs the cars are already heading way up north. Oooh how many hours are we going to travel again, that’s the question popped up in my mind that time. But those long travel, pain in the ass (literally!!! because of the loooooong time you’ll just be sitting-sleeping-eating-soundtripping) are one for the books. We had a great time chit chatting, joking around, laughing our hearts out, stop overs and food tripping, playing with the kids, and Liam’s innocent and funny punch lines, our excitement every time we think that the place is already within our reach.

Finally, at 0630hrs we reached our destination.

My expectations definitely met the criteria. serene, homey, comfy, instagram worthy pictures and the 6-7 hrs long travel from Bataan was worth it.

We booked for the Arthur villa which has these following amenities:

1 Air-conditioned Master Bedroom with

1 Queen sized bed and 1 Hot and Cold Shower Bathroom

1 Air-conditioned Bedroom with 1 Queen Sized Bed

1 Air-conditioned Kids Room with 2 Moroccan Style Single Beds

1 Common Bathroom with Hot and Cold Shower- Moroccan Style Living room with flat screen tv, convertible to 3 single beds

Spacious Balcony with Moroccan Style Sofas and Dining area

1 Mini Bar- Fully Equipped Kitchen complete with Refrigerator, Utensils, Pots and Pans, Microwave, Electric Kettle

The veranda overlooking the whole resort that also happens to be your dining area how cool is that?! Plus what I like about the place is no corkage fee for the food, you can cook and grill your own food. I would like to commend the staffs who are very accommodating, friendly and helpful. They immediately offer the villa as we entered the resort because they know the long travel we had, prepare the villa for our stay and orient us about the whole resort, plus I even asked them “Should I already settle the remaining balance?” The receptionist immediately reply “Ma’am, you can settle that later just rest and enjoy your stay at the resort”. KUDOS to all of you. :) The pictures say it all!

Our late night dinner :)

After dinner, we dip in the pool for few minutes and later call it a day.We did all had a good rest that night. We slept like a baby... ZZZZZZ!

December15, 2015
Morning comes, everyone are excited to wake up and witness the sunrise. I am the first one to woke up, took a cup of coffee in the veranda, take a walk down the hill, the area where you can see the beautiful sunrise, I guess I am too excited. ha-ha-ha! I took this photo at 0545am.

The whole gang woke up at 0630am and prepared for our breakfast. Always my favorite meal of the day..Hmmmm! I wish I could always wake up to this kind of morning.

After breakfast; parents, the newly wed couple and I went to the market to buy some food for pasalubong. The wet market is just 10mins away from the resort, you can approach the friendly tricycle drivers in the area to assist you. It looks like we did a little bit of hoarding. Look at these fresh sea foods!

I always love the sea, the seafood and everything that comes with water, an aquarian girl I guess or maybe I was a mermaid on my past life! LoL!

We came back at the resort and everyone are already enjoying the sun and water!

I didn't pass the chance so I immediately join them :) Special mention to Kuya and Kulot for the choreography, the patience to take my pictures. Hahaha! And to Tatats and Lea for the support!

Siblings with their plus one. I won't complain because they never let me feel Im an outcast. I didn't even bother to think it that way either.

And the parents who were very sweet in their poses.

Yes I am their official photographer! hehe

My Family surely enjoyed the place, we didn't mind the long travel. Overall it was a superb experience! Till our next adventure my loves! :)
